COVID-19 PANDEMIC update and practice modifications
April 3, 2020
Dear valued client,
In response to the pandemic, it has been made clear that registered acupuncturists should not see patients in general, with these exceptions:
·Severe pain which may otherwise be permanently exacerbated without interim treatment, or where pain may be severely incapacitating and limit self-care or independent living;
·Severe addiction issues which may relapse without interim treatment;
·Mental health/depression which may worsen without interim treatment;
·Terminal or aggressively progressive conditions where a delay of treatment will have an adverse effect that outweighs the risks to patients.
If you believe you fit in one of these categories, please let me know. There is a formal approval process with the College & Association of Acupuncturists of Alberta (CAAA) to allow in-person treatment.
Otherwise, starting April 6, I will be available by telephone or “virtual” care appointments (FaceTime, Zoom) as scheduled. You can call my office at (403) 233-9333 or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange an appointment. Without acupuncture, we can still connect and carry on to optimize your health! I can still assess and provide care for you. We can discuss diet/lifestyle/acupressure interventions. Even if you are feeling on track but want reassurance, that is an option.
The following rates which will need to be pre-paid prior to each session: $100 initial consultation (up to 30 minutes), $80 follow-up consultation (up to 20 minutes).
As usual, if you have any quick questions you are welcome to contact me anytime (complimentary).
